Letter recognition is the capacity to call out a letter shown or pick out a letter in a group of letters. We at Mother’s Pride understand that recognition of letters is a foundational part of learning how to read and write. Letter H was introduced through the story of a boy Harry, who lives in a beautiful house. To further enhance the understanding children traced the letter and played games like a treasure hunt. Letter recognition through a story gives children a way to interact with the alphabet through hands-on play. They are able to recognize the shape of the letter and arrange multiple letters to form letter strings.
