The ability to identify colors is a marker and milestone in a child’s cognitive process and is part of early screening for the development and educational admittance. Early identification of colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words. We, at Mother’s Pride, understand that along with learning what each color is called, children need to understand what color represents. An understanding is to be created that it’s not size, nor shape, nor the name of the object, nor the texture, not the number of things showing. Children are naturally attracted to bright colours. To identify and get familiar with Yellow colour and to be able to name yellow colour Prideens got dressed up in yellow coloured clothes, welcomed their yellow friend Tweeny and offered her their favourite yellow coloured food items. To further enhance the recognition and creativity, children coloured and decorated sunflowers, crafted out their favourite yellow objects from the clay.
