The context was built through the story of Chiki and Tiki in the classroom. Puppets of Chiki and Tiki were made by the teachers and a jar full of cookies was kept in the class. The children were engaged to put the cookies IN the jar and then taking them OUT of the jar as per the instructions given by teachers. Children also enjoyed jumping IN and OUT of the hoopla ring. Through this activity, the children built the understanding of spatial concept ‘IN and OUT’ and by doing this their fine and gross motor skills were also enhanced.
