Teaching numbers to little ones doesn’t have to be boring or just limited to worksheets and textbooks. Counting and number skills can be imparted in a variety of ways to build a strong foundation for them. Numbers are fun and our little Prideens met four Funny Faces and counted to 5 by adding their faces along to strengthen their understanding, quantification, and recognition of Number 5. To make children gain a greater understanding of the order of numbers 1– 5, they were engaged in different activities like number wheeling, identifying the number and placing objects, hopscotch, etc. The introduction of a number through experiences and fun-filled activities connects number words and numerals to the quantities they represent and help in practical application.
