We being the pioneers in early childhood education, understand that a strong foundation in a number sense teaches children to be flexible in their problem-solving. Children learn that numbers are meaningful and their outcome is constant and sensible. Recognition and introduction of numbers through the concept of one more relate it to their previous knowledge. Prideens learned the recognition and quantification of number 9 through a variety of context-based activities. To create an understanding for symbol object relationship, number 9 was introduced through one-to-one correspondence by creating nine nests for nine birds using dry grass and clay. To further enhance the knowledge of quantification, children made grains for nine birds and put them in 9 bowls with Numbers till 9, jumped, clapped, recited rhymes, and did different worksheets.
