We, at Mother’s Pride, know that number identification helps children develop a sense of math around them. This enables them to notice and use numbers, and to use math concepts to explore their world. Number 6 was introduced through six little ducks who visited the class. Children recited the rhyme Six little ducks, that I once knew and played with the ducks. To further enhance the knowledge of symbol recognition and qualification, Prideens were engaged in activities like a dummy bus ride, clay modeling, formation of the number with wool, and related worksheets. Introducing children to the world of numbers through experiences helps them use their knowledge in their daily activities.
