Teaching numbers to little ones doesesn’t have to be boring or just limited to worksheets and textbooks. Counting and number skills can be imparted in a variety of ways to built a strong foundation for them.
Numbers are fun and our little Prideens recently attended a Funny Face Party, to strengthen their understanding, quantification and recognition of Number 4.
Children came dressed as funny characters. Four teachers too dressed up in multi-coloured outfits wearing smiley masks. They also wore headgears with numerals 1, 2, 3 and 4. As the party began, each funny face introduced themselves one by one. Teachers encouraged each child to recognize the numbers and count the number of faces. Children were amused and enjoyed with the funny acts like scratching the head, jumping, falling etc. They also recited the rhymes.
There was plenty of fun and enthusiasm throughout the day. The laugh and giggles of the kids filled the aura of the entire school while teaching them the concept of numbers.
