Responsible for cognitive and phonological development in children, the A, B, Cs are the building blocks of language. Alphabets are an essential element of preschool education, in line with this view ‘letter C’ was introduced to our Prideens with the story of Girl Cathy, who lived in a Castle with her Cat. Little Prideens were taught about the alphabet’s sound and several everyday things that start from this letter. To further enhance the recognition and letter object correlation, Prideens were engaged in activities like identifying the letter and matching with related objects, colouring the letter C, etc. The tracing of the letter in flour and treasure hunt for letter C was a big hit with the children.
