Today Guru Nanak Jayanti, the birth of Guru Nanak Devji was celebrated across all the branches of Mother’s Pride.
We started the day by welcoming children, and wishing them “HAPPY GURUPURAB”. Children were beautifully dressed in the traditional Punjabi attire. Wearing turbans and pathani suits, our Prideens looked amazing.
The branch was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. The gurudwara setup was done by the teachers .Our parents further extended support in creating the aura by bringing in the Palki Sahab. Shabadkirtan was played throughout the day. Panch Pyara were taken out from each class and nagar kirtan was done by few teachers by visiting all the classes chanting WAHE GURU to invoke the blessings Guru Nanak Devji. Kadha parshad was served to all children when they came to visit the Gurudwara setup. Teachers briefed children about the day and the rituals one follows while visiting a Gurudwara such as removing shoes, covering heads. Our children celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti with complete devotion.
