Learning alphabets and their sounds are the fundamentals for reading and writing. Children need to recognize, distinguish, manipulate and understand different letters to put them into words. Keeping this in mind, an exciting and fun-filled alphabet recognition activity was organized for our little ones.
Letters were written on various apple cut outs and kept near a tree. Children were then asked to identify a particular letter and hang them on the tree. Prideens thoroughly enjoyed the activity as they enthusiastically picked up different letters and hanged them on the tree. Overall, it was an enriching activity helping the little ones to strengthen their phonemic awareness and alphabet recognition also improved their conceptual and fine motor skills development.
