We believe in learning while playing. Our Prideens are learning numbers the same way. To develop number recognition and quantification of numbers, exciting and engaging number activities were organized for them.
The teacher designed a grid on the floor along with a number wheel displaying numbers 1 to 5. Children were encouraged to spin the wheel. They identified the number on the number wheel and hopped to the same number drawn in the grid. All children actively participated in the activity.
The dice was then passed from one child to another. They could throw, catch or roll it. Children recognized the number that appeared on the top, called it out aloud and clapped as many times as the number.
The activities were quite motivating and helped our Prideens become familiar with numbers and counting in the most meaningful and creative manner.
