“Four hugs a day is minimal. We need four hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.”
We at Mother’s Pride acknowledge the importance of a hug in the healthy emotional and physical development of a child. We know a hug can heal anger and disappointments and fill our hearts with love and warmth. To encourage the habit of hugging and establish its importance and benefit, “National Hug Day” was celebrated. All the children and teachers gave virtual “Jaadu ki Jhappi” to each other. Prideens were encouraged to give Jaadu to Jhappi to their parents and grandparents. Everyone together enjoyed singing and dancing on 4 hugs a day that is minimum, not the maximum. The online classes were overflowing with emotions of love, togetherness, and happiness through the giggles and hugs of little ones and their loved ones.
