Children pick up many words in their daily interactions. As our language begins to develop, early spatial concepts such as in front of, behind, top, bottom, over, under, last, between, farthest, backward, in, on, etc., help us understand directions more precisely. We at Mothers Pride focus on teaching the concepts that are crucial for the academic achievement of children.
In a recently organized fun filled activity, Up and Down, all the children were taken to the lobby and encouraged to respond to questions based on the positions Up and Down. Our children responded to the activity with great enthusiasm and raised their hands up and down with the help of a toy ball as instructed by the teacher.
To make the activity more interesting, the teacher asked the children to stand at the end of a staircase and instructed them to go up and down. Prideens enjoyed a fun time on the sea-saw as they saw it go and down. It was a delightful experience for all. Children had loads of fun together as they entered the world of opposites.
